MATERIALS

The insoles of GRUBIN shoes are made of cork from Mediterranean oak bark. The cork layer is regenerated and therefore can be harvested again and again without harming the trees. Natural latex or rubber is mixed with the cork to make the bed light and flexible, and able to absorb shocks. The insole is covered with suede that has been specially treated to be soft, comfortable and absorbent. The sole is soft, light, flexible and highly durable. It softens contact with hard surfaces and allows for full, natural leg movement.

The primary material used to make the upper parts of GRUBIN orthopaedic shoes is leather. Both thick and luxurious, it is at same time both soft and comfortable. The leather is dyed and processed using special methods to preserve its beauty and uniqueness.

GRUBIN-flor is a synthetic material. It is similar to leather, but under the delicate surface tough fibres are hidden. It is particularly comfortable because it absorbs moisture and allows air to circulate. It is also waterproof, easy to maintain, economical and very long lasting.

GRUBIN-felt is a fibrous material. It is porous enough to allow air to circulate, and firm enough to keep your feet warm and comfortable. GRUBIN-felt shoes are the ideal house slippers for winter.
