Your feet represent one of the more complex and therefore important parts of the human body. With 26 bones connected at 32 joints and a large number of muscles and tendons, the feet enable you to perform two important functions – standing and walking. Critical to allowing the feet to perform these functions are “foot arches”. This includes a transverse arch and two longitudinal arches (external and internal). Their formation begins in infancy, when the child begins to stand on its feet. Scientific research has shown that the formation of arches continues until the age of six or seven. However, even once formed, the arches do not remain unchanged for the rest of a person’s life. Over time, as a result of constant standing, walking on hard surfaces in inadequate shoes or sudden changes in body weight, the arches can gradually descend, resulting in so-called “static foot disorders”:

  • flat soles or dropped foot – a consequence of lowering the internal longitudinal arch
  • bunions, Hallux valgus – a consequence of a lowering of the transverse arch

These complaints cause pain in the foot, which leads to great difficulties when walking. Over time, this can lead to problems in other parts of the body, in the lower legs, knees, hips, back pain, eventually leading to posture disorders.
We can all agree: Your feet are very important, both for the proper posture of your body when walking and standing, and for the general well-being of your body!

Walking is the solution…

For the prevention and remediation of problems, doctors recommend a basic physical activity: walking. Today’s pace of life does not leave us much time for walks and trips into nature, so we are forced to fit this preventive therapy into our daily duties. All you need are your favourite pair of shoes and amfit personal corrective insoles, and the pain can stop…

… but only with amfit personal corrective pads

The amfit method of making personal corrective insoles

Whether you’re playing sports or just walking to complete your daily tasks, you depend on your feet to control your body posture. Communication between your feet and shoes is critical to your well-being. We can help you by making personal corrective insoles with the amfit system. amfit is a world leader in the production of personal corrective insoles and the equipment used in their production, and has a wide range of patented technologies. amfit’s production system consists of amfit’s scanner and milling machine, allowing for the production of a customised inlay for almost any person.

Procedure for taking impressions and making inlays:

  1. The amfit system is based on a portable plate of “pins” that are lifted from the base of the plate under pressure, forming a perfect footprint.
  2. The scanner reads the position of the “pins”.
  3. The data obtained in this way is sent to the computer, which is seen on the screen as a 2D and 3D representation of your footprint, based on which the insole is made. The system allows a trained professional to make corrections to the computer representation of the footprint, before starting to make the insole. Before creating a scan of the footprint using the computerized amfit method, an expert will examine the foot and provide essential information. The computer representation of the footprint is corrected on this basis. Our personal corrective insole is designed to ensure the correct position of the foot, and the correct distribution of the body weight on the foot. These factors lead to a reduction of pressure on the foot and alleviate pain.
  4. Based on the corrected computer representation of the footprint, the amfit milling machine creates the insole.
